Prior to joining KCG, Bertram spent nearly fifteen years at Chartis, a leading healthcare management consulting firm, most recently as a partner in its Digital and Technology Transformation line of business. During his time at Chartis he was privileged to serve dozens of academic medical centers, community health systems, physician groups, healthcare services firms, growth-oriented digital health start-ups, and healthcare-focused private equity funds. He advised clients on a wide range of topics, including strategic planning, organizational alignment, digital transformation, care model innovation, mergers and acquisitions, go-to-market and commercialization strategies, and value-based care. Bertram also has experience in qualitative and quantitative market research in the biotechnology and medical device sectors. He is a frequent speaker and author on various strategic issues arising in today’s rapidly evolving healthcare ecosystem.
Bertram received his Master of Business Administration with honors from University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. He also holds both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University.
