Our new Associate, Michael Rubino, recently joined KCG and took some time to reflect on his experience with us so far. Read below to hear his story.

I was ready for a change and looking to challenge myself professionally, so that is why I left a 60k+ employee company to join a boutique healthcare consulting company, Knowledge Capital Group. The onboarding process at large firms is quite structured and lengthy, with dedicated HR teams and professional development resources, so I figured that would be one of the biggest differences I would notice early on in my new role. To my surprise, KCG had a multi-week curriculum established, as well as a checklist with dates and outcomes to drive progression. Before my start date, there was also a social outing where all employees [including those who work remote] came into town.

For those of you who have switched jobs recently, how did you find the process?

  • Everything was perfect and I feel that I have a great foundation to be successful!
  • I got a laptop, some login instructions and was asked to get started building an excel spreadsheet
  • Onboarding, what is that?
