Anthony Powell
Before KCG, Powell served as the Vice President of Professional Services and Enterprise Sales for Blackbaud (BLKB), a $200 million technology-solutions company that exclusively serves the global nonprofit market. As an officer of the company, he provided strategic direction and overall P&L management for this 300-person, $97 million division.
Prior to his work with Blackbaud, Powell spent 10 years in the nonprofit sector, managing development operations and fundraising campaigns. His nonprofit employment culminated with his leadership role at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C..
A six-time Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Faculty All Star, Powell is a frequent speaker at national and international industry conferences. His thoughts on fundraising and technology have been featured in numerous industry publications, as well as in two books—ePhilanthropy: Nonprofit Internet Strategies and Major Donor Fundraising: Finding Big Gifts in Your Database and Online.
